Born and raised in Kansas , Dr. Larry D. Stoppel attended undergraduate school at the University of Kansas . He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University . Upon graduation, he served four years in the United States Air Force before joining a private practice in Washington and Clay Center Kansas . He practices full scope optometry including contact lenses and medical treatment of eye diseases such as glaucoma. After serving on numerous Kansas Optometric Association committees, he was appointed by the Governor in 1995 to the Kansas State Board of Examiners in Optometry. During his nine years on the KSEBO, he served as president 8 years. While on the State Board, Stoppel became active in ARBO, the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry. He was nominated by ARBO to serve on the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) in 2001. Dr. Stoppel served the ACOE for ten years including 5 years as Chair. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, member of the Kansas and American Optometric Association and Beta Sigma Kappa. In 2005, he was named Kansas Optometrist of the Year. He currently serves as an Educational Director on the Heart of America Eye Care Congress board. He is married to Nancy Tade Stoppel. They enjoy geocaching and travel. They have two sons and two daughter in laws. Christopher works in the University of Nebraska in enrollment data analysis and is married to Meghan, who is a top lawyer in the Consumer Protection division of the State of Nebraska. . They have a one son, Oliver and a daughter Emily. Jon and his wife Alaina Webster live in Olathe Kansas where he is a private practice optometrist and partner and she is a Editor at Bank Notes Media. They have two daughters, Madeline Olivia Webster-Stoppel (Maddie) and Gabrielle Lane Webster-Stoppel (Gabbie).
Dr. Tony Brown is a native of Atwood, Kansas. He graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016 from University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry after completing a series of externships including the Kansas City VA Medical Center and Pepose Vision Institute in St. Louis. These rotations emphasized ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, post-surgical co-management, and pediatrics. Dr. Brown is a member of American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society, Student Optometric Leadership Network, and served as the President of the private practice club. While not working, Dr. Brown enjoys officiating college football, attending sporting events, improving his golf game, and enjoying the company of friends and family.
